Welcome, in this section you will find all the information you need to be a player in the Nyrond Region of Living Greyhawk. This part of our site is divided into four parts: The goal of any Nyrond or RPGA event is to have fun for all players and Judges. When developing a new character, playing a game or otherwise participating in an event, this should be kept in mind. While the experience is intended to be fun; poor sportsmanship, cheating on dice rolls or other undesirable behaviour can make it a bad experience for everybody involved. In addition, Nyrond and the world of Living Greyhawk is a dangerous place. There are times when a character will encounter situations they cannot survive. While killer Judges are not encouraged, it is expected that Judges are fair and if a situation will kill a character, that character will die.
The RulesLiving Greyhawk is played using the Dungeons and Dragons d20 rules system. However, some interpretations of the rules exist for playing within Living Greyhawk. These are explained in full in the , which is also referred toas the LGCS. The LGCS is in PDF format, in order to view and print it you will have to have a PDF viewer, such as Adobe Acrobat Reader. Character CreationThe LGCS has a section on Character Creation which details the rules differences for creating a character in Living Greyhawk, versus a basic Dungeons and Dragons character. We provide a further Character Primer which includes helpful information for creating a character in Nyrond and Living Greyhawk. Campaign InformationThere is a lot of information available on Nyrond. Much of this can be found in the Nyrond Gazetteer. In addition to the Gazetteer, there are Meta-Organizations (Meta-Orgs). Meta-Orgs are organizations in the campaign which have been defined with game rules, so characters can join them and gain additional benefits and perks. All Nyrond Meta-Orgs are defined in the Meta-Org Booklet 598.pdf [692kb PDF]. In addition to this document, there is a Meta-Org section of the website with additional detail and information beyond what is in the basic Meta-Org document. Further InformationThere is a lot of information available on this website. Some other useful tools are Character Name Generators and the Player Search page, which can be used to find other players near you. In addition to all of this is a comprehensive list of useful downloads:
